Deflect the repeat tickets, and find the gaps in your docs
A 200-page manual answers the question perfectly and nobody reads it. The agent does read it, and answers the specific question with a citation back to the page. What it could not answer becomes a list of what your documentation is missing, written by the people who needed it.
What your customers ask
Questions of this shape, answered from what you uploaded and cited back to it. Anything your content does not cover, it declines rather than guesses.
- βHow do I reset my password?β
- βWhat does error code 4012 mean?β
- βWhich plan includes the API?β
- βHow do I export my data?β
- βIs there a way to bulk import?β
- βWhat changed in the latest release?β
- βHow do I cancel, and what happens to my data?β
- βDoes it work with single sign-on?β
What to upload
Your help center, product manuals, FAQs and release notes. Files, web pages, written answers or pasted text, whichever you already have.
- The help center, as a site scan rather than page by page
- Product manuals and PDFs, however long
- Release notes and changelogs
- The internal FAQ your support team already answers from
What matters most here
This is the reason to choose it for documentation specifically. Every question the agent could not answer is detected, classified by topic and trended, so your documentation backlog is written by the people who needed the answer rather than guessed at in a planning meeting.
A manual is chunked and indexed in full, so a question about page 140 is answered from page 140. This is the case a short FAQ widget cannot serve.
Point it at the help center and it discovers pages through your sitemap, each becoming its own citable source, rather than needing someone to add a hundred URLs by hand.
Documentation changes. A scheduled re-scan picks up edits, and content hashing means a scan that finds nothing changed costs nothing.
Where it stops
It deflects questions that are answered in your documentation. It does not triage, it does not have your ticket history, and it cannot act on an account. If your repeat tickets are mostly account actions rather than questions, the deflection rate will disappoint you.
