Answer the menu and booking questions, and take the order
Most of what a restaurant is asked is already written down: what is in the dish, what time you close, whether you can seat eight. Upload the menu and the policies and the agent answers from them at midnight, in the visitor's own language. Upload the menu again as a file and we read the dishes, prices and choices out of it, so the ordering side is set up from the PDF you already have rather than typed in by hand.
What your customers ask
Questions of this shape, answered from what you uploaded and cited back to it. Anything your content does not cover, it declines rather than guesses.
- βDoes the pad thai contain peanuts?β
- βWhat are your vegan options?β
- βAre you open on Christmas Day?β
- βCan you seat a party of eight on Saturday?β
- βDo you have high chairs?β
- βIs there parking nearby?β
- βCan I book for tonight, and do you take walk-ins?β
- βWhat is in the set lunch, and how much is it?β
What to upload
Your menu, allergen sheet, opening hours and booking policy. Files, web pages, written answers or pasted text, whichever you already have.
- The menu, including the allergen and dietary columns
- Opening hours, including holiday exceptions
- The booking policy: party sizes, deposits, cancellation windows
- Anything about accessibility, parking and children
What matters most here
A great many restaurants have an Instagram page and no website. The hosted chat page is a link you can put in a bio, and a QR code you can print on the menu, the window or the receipt. No site needed.
Tourists ask in their own language. The agent answers in the language the question arrived in, from the same English menu you uploaded.
Upload the PDF, the price list or a photograph of the board and we read out the dishes, prices, descriptions, sizes and extras, and the calorie counts where the menu prints them. You correct anything we got wrong. Nobody sets up an ordering system by retyping ninety items, which is the real reason most restaurants never finish setting one up.
The order is constrained to what you uploaded, so the agent cannot sell a dish that is not on the menu or a size you do not do. Each line is priced from your menu and totalled, a dish you have marked as off for the day is refused by name, and orders land on a screen with a new, confirmed, fulfilled and cancelled status per row.
Allergens are the reason this matters more here than anywhere else. If the allergen information is not in what you uploaded, the agent says it does not know rather than guessing, and the citation shows which sheet the answer came from.
Where it stops
It answers from your menu, not from your kitchen. If a dish changes and the uploaded menu does not, the agent will confidently give the old answer, because the old answer is what you gave it. Re-scan or re-upload when the menu changes, and never treat it as a substitute for asking staff about a severe allergy.
Other industries
Upload what you already have and ask it something. It takes about ten minutes.
